About Salcombe Country House
The House is a stylish country home full of ancient oak beams and flagstone floors. It nestles in the tiny hamlet of South Huish, close to the renowned sailing town of Salcombe.
The Space
The house is loved by all who come and stay, and we very much enjoy making your visit as comfortable and relaxing as possible. It is a 15 minute easy walk to one of the most stunning beaches in this area of outstanding natural beauty.The beach has a great Beach Cafe, serving delicious food all day, and candle lit suppers in the evening where you take your own wine and can watch the spectacular sunsets.There are many great restaurants in the area, as well as golf courses.
Nearby are the towns of Dartmouth, Totnes and Kingsbridge, with Salcombe being a short drive from here. A car is necessary and parking is available.
We aim to make you stay relaxing and welcoming and very much hope that this is a place you will want to stay again and again.

Location
South Milton Sands (Thurlestone Rock) — a short 15 minute walk from the house, perfect for beach days, coastal walks along the South West Coast Path, and relaxed countryside living in South Devon. The most beautiful sunset spot, on a long sweep of golden sand and rock pools bursting with sea life, with crystal clear waters and iconic rock archway. This is the most perfect spot for a barbecue on a summer evening. The Beach House Cafe serves great food and drinks all day long.
If your children are keen to do watersports, then Surfin’ Sam is great, and he is based in the car park just behind the beach.

A lovely, quaint, clean and comfortable house. We were a family of 6 and the house was intimate, yet very spacious! A fully equipped kitchen with AGA cooker was a treat. Beds were comfortable and the furniture was traditional, yet eye to detail and decor was admired by us all. Small water feature outside (with a visiting frog and small fish) offered the sounds of trickling water all day, creating a sense of calm. Beautiful, both inside and out.
Located only 15-20mins from the coast and a great jogging route leading you to Hope Cove trail. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would certainly stay again if visiting in future.

We had such a brilliant week at Salcombe Country House. The layout works so well, we were a family of 5 and another couple with a baby stayed for a few days, they made use of the baby items there. The house felt so homely from the moment we arrived. The location is fantastic, we enjoyed walking our dog to the beach each day and our children rode their bikes down too. We ate a The Beachhouse, got great take out pizza from Salcombe and BBQ’d a lot in the garden. If there were any issues Annabel was brilliant on the email and things got sorted immediately. I would happily stay there again - this was our first time away since Covid began and it was a great family week away.

Stunning house with a real French antique feel, full of character and in a fantastic location for the coast- we walked to the beach and drove to other nearby beaches/coastal paths. We enjoyed the BBQ in the garden and being so close to many beautiful places. Plenty of space for the different generations in the house itself!
